• The Valencian Community ranks fourth by count after Madrid (99,185), Andalucía (95,530) and Cataluña (89,263).
• The 49,819 firms equal roughly one third of the 149,033 companies registered in the region, many of them older and low capital, with 44% founded between 1975 and 2000 and 65% holding under €5,000 in capital.
