The share of 11- to 17-year-olds who have seen porn online rose from 35% two years ago to 47% now, and 56% of those exposed first viewed it before age 14. Only 25% consider porn unrealistic, and 36% say they want to try behaviors seen in it, with boys reporting higher intent than girls. Sexting has increased to 10% who have sent intimate content from 6% in 2023, while about one third report receiving such messages, mostly unsolicited. One quarter say they were shown or sent pornographic content involuntarily, with girls more often affected. Nearly one in ten now use AI chatbots for sexual information, based on a representative online survey of nearly 3,000 youths aged 11 to 17.
