Cinemex will present the film in IMAX Laser at six locations including Antara, Santa Fe, Tezontle, Encuentro Oceanía, Parque Delta and Península Tijuana. Cinépolis will feature Princess Mononoke under its +QUE CINE program in IMAX format at select cinemas nationwide. Ticket prices and pre-sale dates have not yet been announced and will be shared on Cinemex and Cinépolis social media channels. The release uses a new digital remaster optimized for IMAX Laser to highlight Hayao Miyazaki’s detailed animation and Joe Hisaishi’s immersive score. Since its 1997 debut, the film earned top Japanese Academy Awards and became Japan’s highest-grossing title that year, cementing its status as a Studio Ghibli cornerstone.
