Overview

  • Capcom released a major Street Fighter 6 update on June 4 that adds the final Year 2 DLC fighter Elena and coincides with the Nintendo Switch 2 launch.
  • The update includes a comprehensive balance overhaul, tightening perfect parry windows, refining throw escape timing and applying targeted buffs and nerfs across the roster.
  • Four classic NES titles—Bionic Commando, Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight, Mighty Final Fight and Mega Man 3—are fully playable in the in-game Gallery using original NES code.
  • The patch restores composer Yoko Shimomura to the series with a new track, “Edge of Triumph,” marking her first Street Fighter contribution in over three decades.
  • Capcom has not confirmed whether the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 port will include the four retro games.
