  • Austin-Bergstrom was placed under a ground stop until 4:15 p.m., with arrivals expected to be delayed about 54 minutes on average and FlightAware logging 56 inbound and 46 outbound delays plus five cancellations by midafternoon.
  • Forecasters warned of heavy rain, embedded severe storms and flash flooding into the evening, with Austin’s heaviest downpours expected around 7 p.m. and a flood watch in place until 6 a.m. Friday.
