Overview
- The Stormers and Davids' agent F7 Sports Management confirmed the winger signed a professional contract with the club on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
- Davids earned the deal after training with the senior squad and scoring a widely shared try in a United Rugby Championship warm-up against the Vodacom Bulls in Paarl.
- He comes to the Stormers off a season of 31 tries in 19 games for Robertson Town and a track record as a three-time South African triple-jump champion with reported 100m speed of 10.3 seconds.
- Director of rugby John Dobson called Davids a long-term development prospect, said the club will invest in his progress, and estimated it could take at least a year for him to master pro demands such as high-ball work.
- The signing highlights the Stormers’ regional scouting pathway and agent networks and could open more routes from club rugby into the professional system while the team monitors Davids’ adaptation and future match selection.
