Overview

  • The six-minute “Beth’s Farm” video, released July 29, features a surreal tale of Emma Stone aiding a farmer in a DNA-and-fire ritual to restore transformed livestock.
  • This marks the sixth collaboration between Stone and director Yorgos Lanthimos since their first teaming on The Favourite in 2018, spanning shorts and feature films.
  • “Beth’s Farm” serves as the lead single for Jerskin Fendrix’s upcoming album Once Upon a Time… in Shropshire, due October 10 via Untitled (Recs).
  • Fendrix, who scored Lanthimos’s Poor Things and Kinds of Kindness, will reunite with the director on Bugonia, which is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival before its October 24 theatrical release.
  • Lanthimos said the project allowed him to weave cinematic narrative into Fendrix’s personal songs, and Fendrix credited his film-scoring work with deepening his empathetic approach to songwriting.
