Overview
- A Clear Creek County Roundabout shuttle was stolen in Georgetown on Friday and driven east on Interstate 70.
- Around 12:40 p.m., the shuttle crashed near mile 241 outside Idaho Springs and hit an Idaho Springs police vehicle while fleeing.
- Eastbound traffic backed up about a mile before all lanes reopened by 1:35 p.m., and no injuries were reported.
- The shuttle was later found abandoned in Denver near West 13th Avenue and Pecos Street around 1:30 p.m., with its engine running and a shredded rear tire.
- Authorities recovered both the shuttle and the earlier stolen car, multiple agencies are investigating, and the driver has not been identified.
