  • Inside the Hyundai were a mother driving, a father in the front passenger seat, and their three children; the father died at the scene, officials said.
  • A 4-year-old and a 2-year-old were pronounced dead at San Joaquin General Hospital, while the mother and a 1-year-old were hospitalized with major injuries.
  • The SUV’s driver was treated for moderate injuries at Modesto Memorial Hospital and arrested on suspicion of DUI, with authorities withholding the driver's identity as the investigation continues.
