Stockholm to fully ban petrol and diesel vehicles from city center by 2030

Stockholm plans to ban petrol and diesel vehicles from a 20-block district in its center by 2025 to reduce emissions and noise.
The ban will cover 180,000 square meters and includes exceptions for hybrid trucks, fuel-cell vehicles, ambulances, police vehicles, and vehicles for disabled drivers.
Stockholm's ban goes further than similar measures in Paris, Madrid, and Athens which have only targeted diesel vehicles.
The goal is for Stockholm's city center to have zero emissions and 30% less car traffic by 2030.
Stockholm aims to become a green utopia focused on walking, cycling, and public transit.
