Stina Johannes Joins VfL Wolfsburg on Contract Through 2028

The German national goalkeeper leaves Eintracht Frankfurt to replace Merle Frohms at the Bundesliga club.

Stina Johannes, a 25-year-old German national team goalkeeper, has signed with VfL Wolfsburg until 2028.
Johannes, originally from Hannover, joins Wolfsburg after confirming her departure from Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday.
She is set to succeed Merle Frohms, whose contract with Wolfsburg is expiring and who had recently lost her starting position.
Eintracht Frankfurt had already signed national goalkeeper Sophia Winkler as a replacement, but Winkler is sidelined with a long-term ACL injury.
Wolfsburg's women's football director, Ralf Kellermann, praised Johannes for her exceptional skills and consistent performance at the highest level.
