Overview

• The explosion occurred around 9:45 a.m. near Kandlaparti in Bhopalpatnam during a joint STF–DRG area-domination patrol, with officials saying a pressure device was stepped on despite the team carrying metal detectors.
• The injured personnel was identified as Dayaram Jamde, 40, who suffered a leg fracture and was airlifted to Raipur where officials said he is stable.
