Steve Serio and Nicky Nieves Chosen as Team USA Flagbearers for 2024 Paralympics

The decorated athletes will lead the American delegation at the Paris opening ceremony on August 28.

Serio and Nieves were selected by a vote from fellow athletes.
Serio, a wheelchair basketball player, is a two-time Paralympic gold medalist.
Nieves, a sitting volleyball player, helped Team USA win its first gold in 2016.
The opening ceremony will be held at Place de la Concorde and the Champs-Elysées.
Over 4,000 athletes from around the world will compete in 22 sports.
