Overview

  • Renouf was stopped on July 1 during a routine licence check in Red Hill and returned a blood alcohol concentration of 0.197 per cent.
  • The former Broncos star pleaded guilty on July 16 in Brisbane Magistrates Court to one count of driving under the influence of alcohol.
  • The magistrate imposed a $1,200 fine and disqualified Renouf from driving for 11 months without recording a conviction.
  • Court testimony revealed Renouf experienced a hypoglycaemic episode at the scene and officers provided jelly beans while awaiting his partner’s advice.
  • Speaking after sentencing, Renouf apologised for his actions, accepted full responsibility and said he will seek professional advice on his health and alcohol use.
