Steve McQueen's 'Blitz' to Open 2024 BFI London Film Festival

The wartime drama stars Saoirse Ronan and introduces newcomer Elliott Heffernan, depicting the resilience of Londoners during WWII.

'Blitz' will have its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 9.
The film follows nine-year-old George, played by Heffernan, as he navigates the dangers of wartime London.
Saoirse Ronan plays George's mother, Rita, who sends him to the countryside for safety.
The cast includes Harris Dickinson, Kathy Burke, Paul Weller, and Stephen Graham.
The film will be available in select cinemas on November 1 and stream on Apple TV+ starting November 22.
