Steve McMichael to Receive Hall of Fame Honor at Home Due to ALS

The Chicago Bears legend will not attend the Canton ceremony, with plans for a home presentation instead.

Steve McMichael, diagnosed with ALS in 2020, cannot travel to Canton for his Hall of Fame induction.
The Hall of Fame will present McMichael's honor at his home in Homer Glen, Illinois.
Jarrett Payton, son of Walter Payton, will introduce McMichael for the Hall of Fame.
McMichael played 13 seasons with the Bears, recording 92.5 sacks and winning a Super Bowl in 1985.
The Hall of Fame ceremony will proceed with other inductees, including Devin Hester and Julius Peppers.
