Steve McMichael Released from Hospital, Continues Recovery at Home

The Bears legend and recent Hall of Fame inductee battles health issues with support from fans and family.

Steve McMichael, former Chicago Bears defensive tackle and recent Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, has been released from the hospital after an 8-day stay.
McMichael was admitted for a urinary tract infection, pneumonia, and MRSA, but has responded well to treatment.
He will continue to receive around-the-clock nursing care at home, along with IV antibiotics to fight his infections.
McMichael, who announced his ALS diagnosis in 2021, is a beloved figure in both the football and wrestling communities.
His induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame is scheduled for August 2024.
