Steve Martin Tests Positive for COVID, Cancels Two Virginia Tour Stops

The tour remains scheduled to resume Oct. 4 in Florida.

Overview

  • Martin announced on Instagram that he tested positive for COVID-19 and said he could not perform the shows fans deserve.
  • The Virginia Beach show at The Dome on Sept. 19 and the Richmond stop at Allianz Amphitheater on Sept. 20 were canceled out of an abundance of caution.
  • Refunds will be issued automatically for Ticketmaster purchases, while buyers who used third-party resellers are instructed to contact their point of purchase.
  • This is the tour’s second COVID-related interruption in 2025 following February postponements when Martin Short contracted the virus, with those dates reset to Oct. 17 in Knoxville and Oct. 18 in Durham.
  • No replacement dates for Virginia have been announced, and the Dukes of Funnytown itinerary lists its next performance on Oct. 4 in Hollywood, Florida, with shows booked through April 2026.
