Items signed by Steve Jobs are highly sought after due to their rarity, with Jobs known for rarely giving autographs.
The auction also included other Apple memorabilia, such as an original Apple-1 computer signed by Steve Wozniak, which sold for $323,789, and a factory-sealed 4GB original 2007 iPhone that fetched $147,286.
Steve Jobs' autograph is considered the most valuable of any deceased person, surpassing even that of Stephen Hawking, according to the PFC40 Autograph Index.
