Steve Bannon Appeals to Supreme Court to Avoid Prison Sentence

Former Trump adviser seeks emergency stay of his four-month contempt of Congress conviction

Bannon was convicted in 2022 for defying subpoenas from the House Jan. 6 committee.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit denied Bannon's emergency motion for release.
