Overview
- Sterlite Technologies secured a ₹2,631.14 crore contract from BSNL to design, supply and construct the BharatNet middle-mile network across Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
- The deal covers a three-year construction phase and a ten-year maintenance agreement with fees set at 5.5% of capex annually for the first five years and 6.5% for the next five.
- The company will deliver the project through a consortium with Dilip Buildcon Ltd.
- Shares jumped about 15% to Rs 88.79 in early trading, lifting Sterlite’s market capitalization to Rs 4,144 crore, a six-month high.
- Despite a consolidated net loss of ₹40 crore in the March 2025 quarter, Sterlite reported a 25% year-on-year revenue rise to ₹1,052 crore.
