  • IT pay spans widely by role, from 46,750 euros for system integration specialists to 58,000 for system administrators, 65,250 for software developers and 74,250 for project leads.
  • Employer scale and experience drive large gaps: engineers earn 63,750 euros in small firms versus 90,750 in companies with over 5,000 staff and rise from 59,250 with under one year to 93,250 after 25+ years; IT shows a similar climb from 58,750 to 76,750 by firm size and from 53,000 to 83,250 with tenure.
  • Regional spreads remain stark, with engineering medians of 79,000 euros in Baden-Württemberg and Hessen and lower levels in eastern states such as Saxony near 63,250; gender gaps are 16.2% unadjusted in engineering and 7.8% in IT, narrowing to roughly 5%–6% after adjustment.
