Stephen Curry Wins NBA's Inaugural Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion Award

The NBA named Stephen Curry the winner of the 2022-23 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion award.
Curry was selected for his work advocating for voting rights, gender and racial equity in sports, and addressing food insecurity.
The NBA will donate $100,000 to the University of San Francisco Institute for Nonviolence and Social Justice in Curry's honor.
Curry founded the Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation with his wife to combat childhood hunger and promote education.
The award was created to recognize NBA players making strides in the fight for social justice; Kareem Abdul-Jabbar helped select the winner.
