Stephen Curry honored with Charlie Sifford Award for advancing diversity in golf

Curry received the award for efforts including funding Howard University's golf program and launching Underrated Golf.
The award recognizes Curry's work to provide equity, access and opportunity in the sport.
Curry will be presented with the honor at the World Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony on June 10, 2024.
The award is named after Charlie Sifford, the first Black PGA Tour member.
Curry is known for his passion for golf in addition to his NBA career.
