Overview

• Under his new agreement, Smith will host a weekday sports talk show on Mad Dog Sports Radio and a weekly current events and pop culture program on a separate SiriusXM channel, both launching in September.
• The daily sports show will occupy the 12–3 p.m. ET slot on channel 82, replacing Michelle Beadle and Cody Decker’s Beadle and Decker after only hours’ notice to its hosts.
• Beadle described the change as “totally blindsided” and “a little embarrassing” and told Front Office Sports she intends to negotiate a contract buyout before her August expiry.
