Stephan Jaeger Leads Farmers Insurance Open with 8-Under 64

Stephan Jaeger of Germany leads the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines with an 8-under 64, one stroke ahead of Nicolai Højgaard of Denmark.
Jaeger, who has yet to win on the PGA Tour, finished his day with an eagle and is not daunted by the action shifting to the South Course for the final rounds.
Tony Finau and Michael Kim are tied for fifth place, trailing by three strokes.
Wednesday’s leaders, Kevin Yu and Patrick Cantlay, fell to six strokes back, tied with a dozen other golfers.
The Farmers Insurance Open field of 156 dropped as notables, including Sungjae Im, Collin Morikama, Victor Perez and Jason Day, didn’t make the cut.
