Potential for First-Time PGA Tour Winner as Tournament Nears Conclusion

Stephan Jaeger takes a one-shot lead in the Farmers Insurance Open after Thomas Detry's watery finish on the 18th hole.

Matthieu Pavon of France and Nicolai Hojgaard of Denmark were at 10-under while Detry, of Belgium, was 9 under after his 73.
There could be a first-time winner on the PGA Tour after the final round as Jaeger has never won on tour, and neither has any of the eight players within three shots of him.
Five players were tied at 8 under while nine were 7 under, including Xander Schauffele, a San Diegan who is ranked No. 5 in the world, and Tony Finau.
