Steph Curry Honored with J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award for Community Service

Stephen Curry was awarded the 2022-23 J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award by the Professional Basketball Writers Association for his outstanding service to the community.
Through his Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, Curry has helped thousands of children in Oakland by hosting community events, providing meals, building playgrounds, and promoting literacy.
Curry was also named a finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion award for using his platform to advocate for equality in sports.
In the 2022-23 season, Curry averaged 29.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game and was named an All-Star and All-NBA selection for the ninth time.
The Citizenship Award recognizes an NBA player for outstanding service and dedication to the community.
