Stellantis NV is recalling over 32,000 Jeep Wrangler 4xe SUVs from the model years 2021 to 2024 due to a potential fire risk.
The recall was initiated after the company discovered eight instances of vehicle fires in parked and turned off vehicles, six of which were connected to chargers.
Stellantis has advised owners of the affected vehicles to avoid recharging them and to park them away from structures and other vehicles.
The company will inspect the vehicles and replace the battery pack if an error is identified.
No related injuries or accidents have been reported.
