Stellantis Recalls 194,000 Jeep Hybrids Over Fire Risk

Owners advised to park outside and avoid charging until repairs are made following reports of 13 fires.

The recall affects Jeep Wrangler 4xe models from 2020 to 2024 and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe models from 2022 to 2024.
Stellantis discovered the issue after 13 fires were reported, all occurring in parked and turned-off vehicles.
Approximately 154,000 vehicles in the U.S., 14,000 in Canada, 700 in Mexico, and 25,000 outside North America are impacted.
The fires are linked to potential internal failures in high-voltage battery packs produced by Samsung SDI.
Stellantis will notify affected owners in mid-October and advises them to avoid recharging and park away from structures until the issue is resolved.
