Stellantis Names New CEOs for Ram and Jeep
Filosa says the hires will speed his US turnaround by placing experienced leaders under Tim Kuniskis.
Overview
- Stellantis appointed Matt VanDyke as CEO of the Ram brand effective July 20 and Branden Coté as CEO of the Jeep brand effective August 3.
- Both VanDyke and Coté will report directly to Tim Kuniskis, consolidating oversight of Stellantis’s American nameplates under his role.
- The leadership changes respond to divergent brand performance with Ram driving recovery—pickup sales up about 14% in Q2 and roughly 20% in Q1—while Jeep’s U.S. sales fell about 5% in Q2 and key models like the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee declined.
- VanDyke joins Ram from Shift Digital after senior marketing and FordDirect roles at Ford, and Coté arrives at Jeep from AutoNation with prior posts at Aston Martin, Canoo and Mercedes-Benz.
- The moves fit Antonio Filosa’s FaSTLAne 2030 US-focused plan, a five-year, $70 billion program that targets 11 new North American vehicles and aims to restore positive cash flow by 2027; outgoing Jeep chief Bob Broderdorf is taking medical leave and will return in a different company role.
