Stellantis Extends Italy Safety-Net Measures, Adding Mirafiori to Pomigliano and Termoli

Unions demand a government-led plan in response to widespread reduced hours across the group’s Italian plants.

Overview

  • Stellantis told unions it will prolong solidarity arrangements at Mirafiori for 2,297 workers until 31 January, covering 500e, Maserati, presses, tooling and other units.
  • At Pomigliano d’Arco, the company and unions signed roughly a one-year extension of cassa in deroga in solidarity for 3,750 employees.
  • Termoli will operate under a one-year solidarity contract from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026 for all 1,823 staff, pending delayed e‑DCT output and a stalled gigafactory.
  • Fiom-Cgil data show 20,390 of 32,745 Stellantis employees in Italy—about 62%—are on some form of cassa or solidarity, alongside sharp output declines reported across key plants.
  • Metalworker unions are urging immediate talks with CEO Antonio Filosa and the government, as industry groups ACEA and CLEPA ask the European Commission to recalibrate 2030–2035 CO2 targets.
