Steffen Kopetzky Awarded Eisenhüttenstadt Literature Prize

The acclaimed author, known for his historical novels, will be honored with the 10,000 Euro prize on November 21.

Steffen Kopetzky, author of the bestseller 'Monschau,' has been named the recipient of the Stahlstiftung Eisenhüttenstadt Literature Prize.
The prize, awarded since 2005, recognizes authors who explore themes of humanism and democracy.
Kopetzky, born in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm, is celebrated for his expertise in historical narratives and adventure novels.
Previous winners of the prize include notable authors Juli Zeh, Wladimir Kaminer, and Volker Kutscher.
During the award ceremony, Kopetzky will read from his 2019 novel 'Propaganda,' which covers historical events from World War II to the present.
