Darius Slay, 34, has signed a one-year, fully guaranteed $10 million contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being released by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Slay brings extensive experience to Pittsburgh, with 28 career interceptions and six Pro Bowl selections over 12 NFL seasons with the Lions and Eagles.
The Steelers were seeking to strengthen their secondary after losing cornerback Donte Jackson to the Los Angeles Chargers in free agency.
Slay reunites with Steelers defensive coordinator Teryl Austin, who coached him during his time with the Detroit Lions from 2014 to 2017.
The Eagles released Slay with a post-June 1 designation, saving $4.3 million in salary cap space for 2025.
