Overview

  • Darius Slay rolled his ankle during Monday’s end-zone drill but was walking unassisted and is expected back in practice shortly, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.
  • Jalen Ramsey has missed multiple sessions with a minor issue, is officially day-to-day and has been working off to the side ahead of Thursday’s joint practice.
  • On The Pivot Podcast, Ramsey affirmed he is the primary cornerback after conversations with Tomlin and teammates Joey Porter Jr. and Slay.
  • Tomlin has managed reps throughout camp to accommodate recovery, test depth and give evaluation opportunities to backups such as Brandin Echols.
  • Pittsburgh reshaped its secondary this offseason by signing Slay and trading for Ramsey in a deal that sent Minkah Fitzpatrick to Miami for Jonnu Smith and a pick swap.
