This is the second major injury for the Steelers' linebacker corps this month, following Cole Holcomb's season-ending knee injury.
Alexander's injury occurred in the first quarter of the game, and he was later confirmed to be out for the season.
Alexander had been a key player for the Steelers, recording 41 tackles, one sack, one interception, and one forced fumble in nine games this season.
The Steelers will now have to rely on Elandon Roberts as the only experienced inside linebacker on the roster.
