Overview

• Two men spoke to the uniformed 19-year-old in Russian on Franz-Fischer-Straße around 6 a.m. Tuesday before attacking him as he got into his car.
• One suspect ripped open the driver’s door and assaulted him while the other kicked him in the chest, after which both fled.
• The soldier suffered minor injuries and did not need hospital treatment, police said.
• The Staatsschutz unit at Kriminalpolizei Amberg is leading the investigation, has issued suspect descriptions, and is asking for tips at 09621/890-0.
• Both suspects are about 1.80 meters tall and roughly 30 years old; one wore a black Nike jacket and had an older women’s bicycle, the other a blue jacket and jeans.
