STARLUX Becomes Taiwan’s First Operator of Airbus A350-1000 With Taipei Arrival

The 350-seat flagship unlocks European launches in late 2026 followed by U.S. East Coast reach.

  • The first A350-1000, registered B-58551, was handed over in Toulouse on January 5 and arrived in Taipei on January 6 after a nonstop flight flown by chairman K. W. Chang.
  • With this delivery, STARLUX is the first Taiwanese airline to operate the A350-1000 and the 11th operator globally.
  • The aircraft debuts a four-class, 350-seat layout with 4 first, 40 business, 36 premium economy and 270 economy seats.
  • The jet is the first of 18 on order, with STARLUX indicating five additional A350-1000 deliveries are slated this year and further arrivals scheduled through 2031.
  • Initial deployments will build experience on regional Asian routes before the type launches Europe services in the second half of 2026 and later enables nonstop reach to the U.S. East Coast.
