Starlink’s T‑Satellite Launches in Argentina as Retailers Cut Entry Costs

The rollout starts with texting on supported phones, with mobile data to activate via updates on select models.

  • Developed with T‑Mobile, T‑Satellite is now available in Argentina, enabling satellite texting and MMS today and mobile data on compatible devices.
  • Starlink lists iPhone 13–17 for texting now with data and MMS to follow, Google Pixel 10 series and Pixel X Fold with text/MMS/data, Pixel 9 and 9 Pro adding data this month, and select 2025 Motorola models supporting texting and MMS with Razr data to come.
  • OnCity and Frávega advertise the Mini installation kit near ARS 151,200 after a 20% discount, compared with ARS 499,999 for the standard kit on Starlink’s site.
  • Plan options include Residential Lite at ARS 38,000 per month, Residential at ARS 56,100, and Itinerant at ARS 63,000 for 50 GB or ARS 87,500 for unlimited data, with Frávega offering 30% off the Itinerant plan for six months.
  • Starlink is introducing a paid Standby Mode for paused accounts at US$5 per month that provides about 0.5 Mbps basic access, a change reported as rolling out globally and expected in Argentina soon.
