Stark and Meechai lead after first round at LPGA's return to China

Maja Stark and Wichanee Meechai lead the LPGA Shanghai event, both shooting 6-under 66 in the first round.
Stark, a rookie on the European Solheim Cup team, started strong with four early birdies.
Meechai overcame an early bogey and finished with two birdies.
Five players including Americans Danielle Kang and Alison Lee are tied for third at 68.
The LPGA Shanghai event is the tour's first in China since the COVID-19 pandemic.
