Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 Sets Oct. 29 Disney+ Debut With Japan-Only Lineup

An Anime NYC showcase set the focus on a Japan-only roster with fresh shorts and sequels.

Overview

  • Lucasfilm unveiled new key art and a poster highlighting characters from all nine shorts, including returns for Ronin, F, and Lah Kara.
  • All nine episodes will release simultaneously on Disney+, continuing the anthology’s binge-style rollout.
  • Studios confirmed include returning Kamikaze Douga (with Anima), Trigger, Production I.G., and Kinema Citrus, plus newcomers David Production, Wit Studio, Polygon Pictures, and Project Studio Q.
  • David Production’s short Black, written and directed by Shinya Ohira, was previewed and is described as a psychedelic, stormtrooper-perspective battle underscored by Sakura Fujiawara’s vocals.
  • Volume 3 features sequels such as The Duel: Payback, The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope, and The Village Bride: The Lost Ones, with The Ninth Jedi set to expand into a Visions Presents mini-series in 2026.
