Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Casts Legacy Actors and New Faces

Robert Picardo, Tig Notaro, Mary Wiseman, and Oded Fehr join the new Paramount+ series alongside a fresh young cast.

The series will follow a new class of Starfleet cadets as they train to become officers.
Holly Hunter will play the academy’s captain and chancellor, with Paul Giamatti as the main villain.
The show is co-showrun by Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau, blending Star Trek lore with young adult drama.
Production begins in August, with a premiere date yet to be announced.
The casting was revealed during the Star Trek Universe panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
