Star of 'Sex Lives of College Girls' and Broadway's 'Mean Girls' Reneé Rapp Departs Show

Reneé Rapp, who plays Leighton in the hit TV show "Sex Lives of College Girls," is leaving her role as a series regular in Season 3.
Rapp will appear in a few episodes of Season 3 in a recurring guest role before exiting the show completely.
Rapp is known for originating the role of Regina George in the Broadway musical adaptation of Mean Girls and will reprise the role in the upcoming film version.
Rapp is also a musician signed to Interscope Records who released an EP and will release her debut album in August.
Rapp's departure follows the success of her music career and her preparation to film Mean Girls: The Musical.
