Star Catching Prospect Henry Davis Promoted to Triple-A by Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates promoted their top prospect, catcher Henry Davis, to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Davis was the number one overall pick in the 2021 draft and is considered a blue-chip prospect.

In 41 games at Double-A Altoona this season, Davis batted .284 with 10 home runs, 7 stolen bases, and had an on-base plus slugging percentage of .980, which ranks fourth among all Double-A players.
The promotion suggests the Pirates think Davis is ready for a higher level of competition.
