  • Petr Klima, a former Edmonton Oilers player and 1990 Stanley Cup champion, passed away at the age of 58.
  • Klima scored the game-winning goal in triple overtime of Game 1 of the 1990 Stanley Cup Finals, leading the Edmonton Oilers to victory over the Boston Bruins.
  • Klima played for the Red Wings, Oilers, Lightning, Kings, and Penguins during his 13 seasons in the NHL.
  • He scored 313 regular-season goals and added 260 assists in 786 games, as well as 28 goals and 24 assists in 95 playoff games.
  • Klima was originally a fifth-round pick by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1983 NHL draft and was traded to the Oilers in the midst of his fifth season with the Red Wings.
