STALKER 2 Goes Gold After Over a Decade of Development

STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl has officially gone gold, signaling the completion of its master copy for production.
The game faced multiple delays since its initial announcement in 2010, largely due to the dissolution of its developer and geopolitical challenges.
GSC Game World, a Ukrainian studio, was revived in 2014 and reannounced the game in 2018, aiming for a 2021 release before further delays occurred.
The development was notably impacted by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, causing a temporary halt in progress.
A playable demo was showcased at Gamescom 2023, and the game will be available on PC and Xbox Series S|X, including on Game Pass, starting November 20.
