- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin departed Saturday for Germany and the UK to pitch the state’s business climate to investors.
- Speaking at the airport, he criticized the Election Commission of India’s handling of Bihar as miscalculated, said its actions have awakened voters, and insisted predictions against the DMK alliance would be proven wrong.
- He said his government has attracted ₹10,62,752 crore in investment proposals through 922 MoUs since 2021, with an estimated 32,81,032 jobs.
- He cited earlier overseas delegations as producing 36 MoUs with 23 projects in operational phases and ₹18,498 crore in realized investments.
- During the visit he plans to attend the Self-Respect Movement centenary at Oxford on September 4 and unveil a portrait of Periyar, with a return to Chennai scheduled for September 8.
