Overview

  • The initiative runs from June 27 to June 29 and covers every Stagecoach and National Express route in Cumbria, North Lancashire, Coventry, Birmingham, West Midlands, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.
  • Serving personnel qualify by wearing their military uniform or showing valid ID, while veterans and cadets can present a veteran’s badge, military medal or official enrollment documentation.
  • Stagecoach, a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, also offers free travel on Remembrance Day and Remembrance Sunday and maintains a Veterans Network to support service leavers and reservists.
  • National Express, which joined the Armed Forces Covenant in 2012, provides additional year-round travel discounts through the Defence Discount Service for service members and their families.
  • Both operators underscore their broader commitment to being inclusive employers for veterans, reservists and military families within their organisations.
