Overview

• A weekend operation on the A500, A34 and Lymedale Business Park under Operation Reclaim, supported by the NPAS plane, targeted illegal car meets and dangerous driving.
• Officers seized vehicles and bikes, issued PSPOs and multiple Traffic Offence Reports, recovered uninsured cars, confiscated an e-scooter and imposed six penalty points in one red-light and vehicle defects case.
• CCTV is being reviewed to issue Section 59 warnings, with drivers identified for anti-social or illegal driving to be reported for summons where offences are evidenced.
• Police issued an appeal after a three-vehicle collision on Lynn Lane, Shenstone, in which a Peugeot driver in his 60s died, with a passenger taken to hospital as a precaution and other drivers uninjured or checked at the scene.
• Separate inquiries include a flipped black Ford with occupants fleeing on Oxford Road in Fegg Hayes, a Peugeot that hit a Middleport takeaway before three people ran off, a Kingsley Moor crash that left two in hospital, a voluntary interview after a Cobridge junction collision and a witness appeal for a Trentham Lakes two-car crash.
