Stacker compiled data-driven rankings of franchise draft picks that were republished locally by KESQ and KYMA on July 14–15, 2026.
The formula combines Basketball-Reference’s Hall of Fame probability, career win shares and VORP to create a normalized 'Stacker score' for each pick.
To handle older players, the method substitutes half of a player’s win shares when VORP is unavailable and enforces a 60% minimum Hall of Fame probability for inducted players.
The top-ranked picks shown include Oscar Robertson for the Kings (Stacker score 73.6), Adrian Dantley for the Clippers (47.1), and Steve Nash for the Suns (49.6).
